What this website stores in your browser, why, and how to change your mind. At present that is two small items, and neither is used to track you.

Draft — pending legal review

This is a structured placeholder drafted for review. It has not been approved by legal counsel and must be reviewed before publication. Open items are shown in brackets and highlighted so that each one can be found and completed.

What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small text files that a website places in your browser so that it can recognise you or remember something between pages and visits. Browsers also offer local storage, which works in a similar way: the website saves a small piece of information on your device and reads it back later. Local storage is not sent to the server with every request, but privacy and data protection rules treat it in the same way as cookies, and so does this policy.

Both can be strictly necessary (the site cannot work properly without them) or optional (they add analytics, personalisation or marketing).

How this website uses them

This website is deliberately light. At present it stores two items in your browser’s local storage, both strictly necessary: your cookie consent choice and your preferred interface language. It does not use analytics or marketing cookies, and no optional cookies are set without your consent.

The website itself does not set HTTP cookies at present. The infrastructure that hosts and delivers it may set strictly necessary technical cookies, for example for load balancing or security Placeholder: [to be confirmed with the hosting provider].

The three categories

The consent dialog groups everything the website could store into three categories. Only the first one is in use today.

Necessary — always active

Required for the website to function and to respect your choices. This category covers the two local storage items described below: om-consent, which records your consent choice, and om-lang, which remembers the interface language you selected. They cannot be switched off in the consent dialog, because without them the website could not remember what you decided.

Analytics — off until you consent

Would help us understand how the website is used, for example which pages are read most. None is currently configured. If we introduce analytics, it will be set only after you consent, and this policy and the consent dialog will be updated first.

Marketing — off until you consent

Would be used to measure the effectiveness of our communications or to show relevant content elsewhere. None is currently configured. As with analytics, nothing in this category will be set without your consent.

Items stored in your browser by this website
NamePurposeTypeDuration
om-consentRecords whether you accepted or rejected the optional categories, when you decided, and the policy version — so the website can honour your choice and ask again if the policy changes.Local storage — necessaryPersistent; until you clear site data or the policy version changes.
om-langRemembers the interface language (Czech, Slovak or English) chosen in the navigation, so the site opens in that language next time.Local storage — necessaryPersistent; until you clear site data or choose another language.

Neither item contains an identifier that lets us recognise you across websites, and neither is sent to us or to anyone else. Analytics and marketing items: none at present.

How to change your preferences

You can change your choice at any time. Choose Cookie settings in the footer of any page to reopen the consent dialog, where you can switch the optional categories on or off and save. Withdrawing consent takes effect for the future; anything already collected with your consent would be handled as described in the privacy notice.

You can also delete or block cookies and local storage through your browser’s settings. If you delete the items above, the website will ask for your consent again and will open in English on your next visit. Blocking storage altogether does not stop the website from working, but your choices will not be remembered between pages.

Third parties

No third-party cookies or tracking technologies are used on this website at present. We do not embed social media widgets, advertising pixels or third-party analytics. If that changes, the provider, its purpose, the category it belongs to and its retention period will be listed here before anything is set.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the website changes or when the law requires it. The date of the current version is shown at the top of the page. When we change the categories or the items stored, we increase the policy version recorded in om-consent, which means the website will ask for your consent again.

More information

How we handle personal data, and the rights you have over it, are described in the privacy notice. Questions about this policy can be sent through the contact form.
